Yaakov Herskovitz is Postdoctoral Fellow  at the Jona Goldrich Institute for Yiddish Language, Literature and Culture, Tel Aviv University, and a lecturer in Yiddish literature at the Hebrew University. He has recently published a book on the Hebrew poetry of Avot Yeshurun and its Yiddish origins entitled And in it the Mother’s Letter. Memory and the Epistolary Art of Forgetting in the Poetry of Avot Yeshurun (Hakkibutz Hameuchad, 2023).
